Kumu Obi is a mystic, shaman, spiritual teacher and a healer. He is also a Master of Mechanical Engineering with University degree, who originates from the family of natural healers. Blessed with unusual gifts and abilities, he was recognized and accepted by respected spiritual teachers from other cultures which have given him access to great knowledge. Enlightened in age of 33, he continues to share this knowledge and is one of very rare individuals with the experience of self-realization.
He works individually, as a therapist or personal coach, advisor of business professionals, performers and athletes, and runs group classes, workshops and lectures on advanced traditional and contemporary spirituality and energetic work. Kumu Obi is socially and environmentally active; he is co-founder of several associations for sustainable development, education and environmental action, as well as children’s sports clubs. He is the organizer and leader of the family workshops for children and parents, active at kindergartens and schools.

Obi means “One who brings Joy.” Kumu is Hawaiian title for a teacher, master. Obi is not Kahuna because he does not have a village of his own, but he is a shaman, he does his own powerful huna, so he should be referred to as Kumu Obi (young children also call him Uncle Obi).
“I have not traveled the world like hippies, searching for myself or for my teachers in exotic places. My teachers have found me. They came to my town, my home, my friends’ home, or we just met somewhere ‘accidentally’. I am grateful.”
Like most psychics or extracorporeal sensible individuals, so did Kumu Obi too have an out-of-body experience of clinical death. It happened to him at the age of 7, after a traffic accident.
That he was gifted he noted during his studies in Vienna, when easily and spontaneously he began to leave his physical body to look around other physical locations, and communicate with the supernatural intelligences and non-corporeal souls. Initially confused by new experiences, and raised in a pragmatic materialist philosophy, he began to study classical western magick and Kabbalah. Very quickly he mastered the Tarot, and has become a very popular channeler and a precognitionist in the countries of the former Austro-Hungarian monarchy. His regular customers were numerous celebrities and influential politicians. He also drafted talismans of power and protection, dissolved curses and practiced witchcraft.
But being the medium was not enough to him – it was just the beginning of an unusual journey and extraordinary transformation.
During his studies with Dr. V. Ivanov, Kumu Obi was trained in various traditional bioenergy healing and energetic therapies, massage, energetic massage, shamanic medicine and practices.
He has practiced Zen Meditation, Light Breath, Osho’s Active Meditations and Firewalking, and still does.
Kumu Obi has training in Rebirthing – Breathwork (by Leonard Orr, original line, 2nd generation), Spiritual Technology (by Z.M. Slavinski, original line, 2nd generation): Excalibur, PEAT, Gnostic Intensive etc., Dianetics and Scientology OT techniques (by L. Ron Hubbard, mediated line). Some of these techniques he uses and teaches today.
Kumu Obi is initiated Reiki therapist (original Reiki by Sensei Mikao Usui, Hawayo Takata line, 5th generation).

Starting with R.A. Barkley, Kumu Obi explored the world of shamanism: Ifa, Native American, Amazonian, Australian Aborigini – so he practiced shamanic healing, drum work, soul retrieval, usage of power animals etc. – and expanded his research with pan-Slavic, Tibetan, Mongolian and Tuvan techniques.

After getting acquainted with Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwarananda, Kumu Obi has begun to explore tantric heritage. Several years later Kumu Obi accepted Swamiji’s initiation and started his yoga studies within Yoga In Daily Life system.
Kumu Obi was initiaded in Hawaiian Huna Kalani by Kumu Kahekili and started to develop his own Huna, that he practices today. Experienced and powerful in energetic shamanic work, he has mastered Ho’o manamana and Ho’oponopono with Lomilomi massage and other la’au lapa’au techniques.
Kumu Obi is trained in Soulwork Systemic Coaching by Martyn Carruthers himself.
After two years with no solid food – living on prana and juices – Kumu was still over 90kg in 2007.
